- What is an active PageTurnPro digital publication?
An active PageTurnPro digital publication refers to any publication that has been uploaded to your account, converted to reflect page-turning interactivity and is set to active your account overview.

- What are the limitations I should be concerned with when uploading my static files?
PageTurnPro converts only PDF files. A single PDF file should contain all the individual pages of your publication and we recommend a resolution of no less than 100dpi. Also, be sure to remove any registration or crop marks from the pages of your PDF before uploading the file.

- How am I invoiced for my subscription to PageTurnPro?
You will receive an invoice statement in your e-mail each month at the end of your billing cycle that will reflect your subscription charges. You may also view your latest statement along with any past statements by logging into the PageTurnPro Web site and going to your account area.

- Where can I review your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy?
- What additional features are available with each digital publication and how do I enable/disable those features?
Each digital publication that you create will include the following standard features:
- Search
- Table of Contents
- Magnification (Zoom-in/Zoom-out)
- Dynamic Link management
- Basic tracking and statistics
- Print
- PDF download
- Password protection
In your Dashboard, you will be able to enable/disable the Print, PDF download and Password protection features. At this time, the ability to dynamically embed video and rich media advertisements into your digital publications is not available. If you have a need for video or rich media ads within your publications, please contact us and we will work with you to get those items integrated.

- Do I have to host my digital publications on my own server?
No. PageTurnPro is a full-featured hosted service and the reason we host your digital publications for you is to provide you with up-to-date interface enhancements and patches and also allow your digital publications to be easily searched and indexed by major search engines like Google and Yahoo. Additionally, hosting your digital publications allows us to provide you with advanced usage statistics and reporting capabilities.

- What makes you different than other digital publishing companies?
PageTurnPro is a product of Journal Publications Inc. – an award-winning publication company that has been in business for over 25 years. As a result, we understand the unique needs of publishers and apply that experience to PageTurnPro, its features and our customer support.
We also listen to our existing and potential clients. And as their needs change and their business model evolves, we strive to meet those challenges.

- Can I embed the publication on my website?
Yes. Your Client Portal allows you to generate a variety of code snippets that you can copy and paste into your existing Web site pages. This allows you to “wrap” your site template around your digital publications.

- How do I inform readers that they can view the online edition?
PageTurnPro allows you to generate a link to any specific digital publication within your account. You can then copy and paste that link information into an e-mail along with any marketing copy that suit your needs.

- Can I customize how my defined links appear within a digital publication?
Currently, a manually defined link will appear as a shaded box around the area that has been defined. A future release will provide users with additional color and style options they can apply to the defined links within their digital publications.

- Can I customize the background color of the Reader View to coordinate with my publication?
The default background color for a digital publication is black. Users have the ability to modify the background color by selecting from a preset list of popular color options. A future release will provide users with a larger selection of preset colors along with the ability to configure custom colors.

- Can I incorporate video throughout my digital publication?
Yes. You can incorporate video that you have already hosted within YouTube which will appear to the left of the outside cover of your digital publication. PageTurnPro offers custom creative assistance for unique video placement needs throughout your digital publications. Contact a sales representative to inquire more about this service.

- Do you offer custom services if my digital publications have unique functional requirements?
Yes. While PageTurnPro was built to provide users with self-service, 24/7 access to their digital collection, we can provide custom creative and development assistance to meet any unique publishing requirement. - Can I associate digital publications to each other so that my readers will have access to related publications of the same theme or topic?
Yes. PageTurnPro uses a powerful tagging system that you define and customize to allow your readers to view publications that are grouped according to your criteria. For example, if you publish a weekly magazine your readers might be interested in viewing past editions of that particular title. But you could also present digital publications within your account that are related by a common topic, theme or demographic.

- I have a lot of URLs throughout the text of my publication. Will PageTurnPro automatically recognize and link those URLs for me?
Yes. Any well-formed URL that is contained within the copy of your publication will be automatically linked for you.* However, links embedded within images cannot be recognized and thereby automatically linked.
*For best results, be sure to enable links within your PDF file before uploading to PageTurnPro. This is accomplished by selecting the “Create Links from URLs…” option from the Advanced -> Document Processing menu option within Acrobat Pro.

- What kind of reporting is available?
By default each account has access to reader statistics that include essential information such as total page views, total visits, which pages were visited the most, time spent with the publication, number of links and the number of click through for each link.
If you have a Google Analytics account, you can easily integrate your digital publication statistics with your Web site statistics and generate consolidated reports.

- I've uploaded my PDF file and the resulting digital publication that is produced appears fuzzy. How can I correct this?
We recommend your PDF file is set to a 150dpi resolution for the best combination of viewing quality and download speed. Keep in mind that when you view your converted digital publication on-screen, you are viewing a scaled down version to accommodate the browser window. Due to pixilation, some amount of fuzziness is expected and is normal especially with fine print sizes and small imagery. When those areas are viewed using the zoom feature of the Reader View, they will appear clear and thereby easier to read.

- What is your pricing?
Our pricing is based on the number of publications/editions per year. For example, if you have a monthly publication, we consider that 12 editions. Our pricing is extremely economical, which enables our clients to publish digital editions quickly and cost-effectively. Prices do not increase based on the number of pages in your publication or the total pages viewed in the digital edition. - Can I incorporate video throughout my digital publication?
Yes. You can incorporate video that you have already hosted within YouTube which will appear to the left of the outside cover of your digital publication. You can also embed Flash video files directly onto the pages of your digital publication using our Media Manager feature. Additionally, PageTurnPro offers custom creative assistance for unique video placement needs throughout your digital publication.
